Simple Step By Step Procedure To Reset Ms Edge Browser Settings As Its Default

Microsoft Introduce a new browser (Ms Edge Browser) in Windows 10. although Microsoft’s It has overcome all those limitations of IE in its new Edge browser. But still this browser finding its footing dominated by popular browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera. While other hand Ms Edge is also not untouched with malware, it may also crash, corrupt and perform sluggish due to Malware invasion. Restore / Re-set Ms Edge Browser Settings in its default

Step 1:- Open Edge Browser and click on (…) More option appear on the right top corner of browser, see this image for reference.


Step 2:- Now Scroll down cursor to Clear browsing data and click on → Choose What to clear.

Step 3:- In this Window you will see that by default some options like Browsing history, Cookies, Cached data files are checked, you may check and unchecked other data from the list and also Show more collapsed menu to find other options.


Step 4:- If you want tore-set the entire browser then, check all options and click on → Clear option.

Next, Click start menu and type :- Powershell then right-click PowerShell with admin permission.


Another way to open PowerShell

Open the powershell using admin rights. You may also open it by searching in the search box and type the following code inside the powershell and hit Enter. This command will reinstall the Ms Edge :-

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}


When process will get completed then you will get this resulting output of PowerShell window, now Exit PowerShell, and try launching Edge browser again.
